With more than 16 years’ experience in investment management and restructuring, Aurel Podariu has built a strong career within a group of companies that has evolved from crisis management to strategic investing.
After a long period of leadership at CITR, Romania’s insolvency‑market leader, Aurel joined Agista Investments in 2022 as Senior Investment Manager. His expertise in opportunity assessment, deal structuring, and growth‑plan development has been essential to expanding Agista’s investment network and portfolio.
He has led acquisition processes for two companies, participated in four other transactions, and executed an exit that delivered a 20 percent return.Aurel currently manages an active portfolio in industries such as energy, engineering services, and recycling.
